Unlocking technology with culture, care and purpose
We develop community-led, responsible AI that respects the nation, develops capabilities, and offers genuine opportunities to all Australians, including First Nations people.
TeamOur Group
A small, interdisciplinary group of leaders, technologists, and community builders dedicated to long-term collaborations and moral AI.
A note from our Managing Director
Dear Australians, friends, and partners,
MissionWhy We Began
I was brought up with the knowledge that true growth is not measured by quarterly results but rather by the opportunities and well-being we provide for the next generation, as a proud Aboriginal woman and South Sea Islander Kanaka.
Eddie Mabo, my great-uncle, demonstrated to Australia that unheard voices have the power to alter history. His bravery motivates me to make sure that First Nations people are leading Australia’s AI journey rather than only taking part in it.
AboutWho We Are
At Australian Indigenous AI, we’re a collective of technologists, data scientists, engineers, creatives, and community builders united by one belief: relationships come before transactions.
Whether we’re developing computer vision tools to help farmers, teaching coding in remote schools, or advising on data sovereignty, we always start the same way — by listening. Listening to Elders, to local leaders, and to frontline workers. That’s how we create technology that truly respects Country and delivers lasting, practical value.
CommitmentOur Commitment to All Australians
Australian Indigenous AI exists for everyone — from classrooms to mine sites, from start-ups to community hubs — anyone who believes technology should serve people and place.
Each year, we dedicate at least 10% of our surplus to initiatives that give back and build forward:
- Training & Scholarships – Coding bootcamps, AI micro-credentials, and executive upskilling programs for First Nations youth and leaders.
- Infrastructure – Solar-powered edge servers, satellite-backed connectivity, and maker spaces supporting remote innovation.
- Technology Transfer – Open-source AI toolkits, internship programs, and shared IP frameworks that keep value onshore — and on-Country.

Together, we can forge digital pathways that will promote innovation, cultural resilience, opportunity for all, and prosperity across generations for all Australians.
Thank you for being part of this journey.”
With respect and gratitude,
